86069 3 1/2 Custom Round Oil Tanks
|
These rubber mounted steel Oil Tanks are available with a center or a side fill cap. The center fill style was designed for the cleanest look possible by positioning it in the middle of the tank, out of view as much as possible. The side fill tanks are designed for easy access when adding to or checking the oil. Made from 16-gauge steel to resist cracking, these tanks are 100% TIG welded for maximum strength. Available in your choice of applications, with built-in battery box compartment or without battery box.
Includes heavy duty front mount and fill plug. Use with Softail size battery and our 83548 OE style rear tank mount. For best results use our 80627 rubber mounts and 10807 battery cushion. Also uses 1/8 NPT fittings for vent, return & feed lines, and 1/4 NPT fittings for oil drain. These tanks feature our exclusive oil return routing system. We have extended the internal oil return tube allowing it to dump the hot returned engine oil to the far left side of the oil tank. This keeps the returned oil as far away from the feed line, creating an efficient circulating effect. A lower left hand relief has also been built-in that can be used with a chain or belt rear drive. Tank measures 11 3/4" long and has a 6 1/2" O.D.

86037 Custom Horseshoe Oil Tanks For Softail And Hardbody Chopper Style Frames
|
Available in side fill or center fill, these 3 quart Horseshoe Oil Tanks are designed to fit all models of Softail 1986/1999, HARDBODY® Softail and Chopper style frames. Includes oil filler cap and will accept a 1984/1990 Softail battery or a 1991/1996 Softail battery depending on what side you want the batteries positive terminal on. Incorporated into these oil tanks is an industry exclusive in which the oil return tube is redirected and extended to dump hot returned oil to the far side of the tank to create a much more efficient cooling and circulating effect. These tanks are completely TIG welded and pressure tested for leaks. Use with our 80627 heavy duty rubber mounts, 10201 rubber battery strap and 10511 battery cushion for best results.
When using these oil tanks on our HARDBODY Softail Chopper style frame, only the rear bracket is necessary for mounting the oil tank. When using with out HARDBODY Rigid Chopper style frames, neither rear nor front bracket is necessary. Rear bracket fits Softail models 1984/1999 including HARDBODY Softail style Chopper frames. Front Bracket fits Softail models 1984/1999.

86042 Custom Horseshoe Oil Tank For Kickstart Big Twin

Available with spin-on oil filter provision or no oil filter provision for use with external oil filter mount.
4 quart capacity with side fill.
Measures 7" tall, 8 5/8" deep and 10" wide.
Battery compartment is 5 3/8" wide and 5 3/8" deep.
These oil tanks are designed to be used with OE style battery/oil tank mounting plate or our 10126.
The three oil line adapter fittings are designed for OE style metal oil lines and screw into tank but can be substituted for any 1/8-27 NPT fittings.
The drain plug hole is tapped 5/8-18 for drain plug of your choice.

86042 includes a chrome oil filter with a 5/8-18 mounting thread.

|
These custom side fill oil tanks have a 4 quart capacity and are designed to accept the FXE battery. The battery base plate is welded in place and the oil tanks are complete with chrome fill cap and spring action battery retention plate. Returned oil is routed through the filter and dumped into the left side of the tank away from the feed side creating a more efficient circulating effect and a cooler operating temperature.
Chrome plated without filter provision.
