61954 Chrome Billet Aluminum Tappet Block Kit For Big Twin Evolution -
|
A real improvement over the stock tappet and tappet block, this Chrome Plated Billet Aluminum Tappet block Kit from JIMS is CNC machined from billet 7075-T651 aluminum and has a tensile strength three times stronger than cast aluminum blocks. These tappet blocks are machined to the center line of the camshaft and hold a plus/minus of .002". In addition, the bores are held perpendicular to the mounting flange to .0002". These tappet blocks will accommodate a gross valve lift of .625" at the valves, which allows a clearance of .035 roller to block free play. The blocks will accommodate most small base circle cams having a lift of .655" or more with simple modification. Included in this kit are front and rear tappet blocks, four JIMS "Big Axle" PowerGlide Tappets, James Tappet Block Gaskets and Chrome Tappet Block Screws. Use Tappet Block alignment tool 60735 for a professional job. Fits Big Twin Evolution 1984/Later.

Big Axle Power Glide tappet block kits offer all the benefits of the late Evolution style tappets and eliminate the total oil loss of the OEM Tappet units. Each JIMS lifter kit includes tappet blocks made form 7075-T651 billet aluminum with a tensile strength of 83,000 PSI which is double the amount of 6061-T6 and triple the strength of stock cast aluminum blocks. These tappet block kits are capable of the highest RPM a Harley cam safely turn with the right valve springs, cam, oil etc. These kits are designed to accommodate cams with a gross valve lift of .550" at the valves. Use HD 17904-66 pushrods or our part 60224, 60255, or 61907. Fits Panhead and Shovelhead 1953/Later.
